Flex Screen Share Terms of Use
Effective date: 14 September 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Elixir Consultancy Services Ltd ("ElixirCS", "we", "us") about your use of the Flex Screen Share app. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 05821983.
By downloading or using Flex Screen Share, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. The App Store's own terms also apply.
Our Website Terms of Use apply separately to the website. Please also read the Flex Screen Share Privacy Policy, which explains how the app handles your information.
Who can use the app
You must be legally able to agree to these terms. If you aren't, a parent or guardian must agree to them for you.
Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use Flex Screen Share on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in the App Store's terms. You don't become the owner of the app.
Connecting to computers
- Only connect to computers that you own or have permission to use.
- You are responsible for your Mac, its user accounts and passwords, and its sharing settings, and for what is done in the sessions you start.
- Standard screen sharing isn't encrypted on the network. Use it on networks you trust, or turn on Secure Connection.
- If you use a VPN or another service to reach your Mac, that service's own terms apply.
Acceptable use
You must not use Flex Screen Share to:
- access or control a computer without permission;
- break the law, or infringe anyone's privacy, copyright or other rights;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the app or to our systems;
- introduce malicious code, or disrupt the app or anyone else's service;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or modify the app, except where the law doesn't allow us to prevent this; or
- remove or change legal, copyright or ownership notices.
Free use and Flex Screen Share Pro
You can use Flex Screen Share for free. Each free session lasts up to 30 minutes, and you can start up to 4 sessions a day.
Flex Screen Share Pro removes these limits and adds Quick Connect. It may be available as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Each option unlocks the same things. Apple shows you the price, currency, taxes and billing period before you confirm.
Subscriptions renew automatically, and Apple charges your account at each renewal unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
Apple processes all purchases. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its rules and your consumer rights. You can restore an eligible purchase in the app using the same Apple Account. A lifetime purchase gives you Pro for as long as we support Flex Screen Share, subject to your consumer rights.
Apple users
Flex Screen Share is distributed through Apple's App Store, and Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement also applies. If these terms conflict with Apple's mandatory App Store terms, Apple's terms apply to the extent of the conflict.
Apple requires us to tell you the following:
- These terms are between you and Elixir Consultancy Services Ltd only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for Flex Screen Share or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Flex Screen Share.
- If Flex Screen Share fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of Flex Screen Share to you, if there was one. To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Flex Screen Share.
- Elixir Consultancy Services Ltd, not Apple, is responsible for dealing with any claims about Flex Screen Share or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- If anyone claims that Flex Screen Share, or your possession and use of it, infringes their intellectual property rights, Elixir Consultancy Services Ltd, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country that is subject to a US Government embargo, or that has been designated by the US Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Questions, complaints and claims about Flex Screen Share should be sent to support@elixircs.com, or by post to Elixir Consultancy Services Ltd, 7 Croftflat Drive, Fenay Bridge, Huddersfield, HD8 0FS, United Kingdom.
- You must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use Flex Screen Share, such as the terms of your network or VPN provider.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept these terms, Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Updates and changes
We may release updates to keep the app secure, compatible and working well. Flex Screen Share may stop working on devices, or on versions of iOS, iPadOS or macOS, that we no longer support. We may make reasonable changes to the app, including for legal, security or technical reasons. If a change significantly affects something you paid for, we will give you reasonable notice where we can and respect your consumer rights.
Things we don't control
Flex Screen Share depends on things we don't control, including your Mac and its sharing settings, macOS updates, your network, any VPN you use, and Apple. You are responsible for your internet or network connection and any charges for it. We can't promise the app will always work without interruptions or errors. This doesn't affect any rights you have by law.
Intellectual property and trademarks
Flex Screen Share, this website and their content, design and code belong to ElixirCS or are licensed to us. Apple, Mac, macOS, iPhone and iPad are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. Flex Screen Share is an independent app and is not made, endorsed or sponsored by Apple. Other names, such as Tailscale and WireGuard, belong to their owners.
Your consumer rights
Flex Screen Share is provided "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't make promises beyond those in these terms. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law, including your right as a consumer to digital content that is as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality.
Limitation of liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that isn't foreseeable, for loss caused by things outside our reasonable control, or for business losses if you use the app for personal purposes.
The app lets you control your Mac, so what you do in a session changes that Mac. Keep backups of anything important on it.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
Ending these terms
You can stop using Flex Screen Share at any time. We may suspend or end your right to use it if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Where it's reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put things right. We may act straight away if we need to protect people, systems or our rights, or to follow the law. Rights you already have, including consumer remedies, stay in place.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for legal, security, technical or business reasons. We will publish the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will give you reasonable notice where we can. If the law requires your agreement to a change, we will ask for it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep any mandatory rights under the law of your country, and you can bring proceedings in your local courts.
